The Telligent® automatic shift system boosts comfort and efficiency.
The Telligent® automatic shift system is designed for a 6-speed gearbox. It monitors engine speed, load, and road speed to select the ideal gear. The driver doesn’t need to work the clutch – however, he can intervene manually at any time in anticipation of a situation on the road ahead. In addition to reducing the driver’s workload, the system cuts maintenance and operating costs and protects the entire powertrain.
The Telligent® brake system helps you respond even faster.
The Telligent® brake system with anti-lock braking system (ABS) – or ABS plus acceleration skid control (ASR) – electronically controls the complex braking functions of the entire vehicle combination. It is based on a pneumatically operated, dual-circuit air-brake system with a constant pressure of 10 bar that is controlled by the higher-level Telligent® control system. The result: stopping distances up to 20% shorter than with a conventional braking system.
FleetBoard® – behind-the-scenes analysis and management.
FleetBoard® is a telematics-based Internet service that facilitates effective vehicle management. Its main purpose is to reduce consumption and wear across the entire fleet by analysing how all drivers and vehicles are performing. All relevant criteria are taken into account: speed, brake usage, high revving, distances covered, stops, weight, fuel level and average consumption. Return on investment can be realised in a very short time, thanks to reduced fuel and maintenance costs.
Internally ventilated brakes help prevent overheating.
In short-radius distribution, the brakes have to be applied more frequently than in any other sector. That’s why the Atego is equipped with a powerful braking system that includes internally ventilated disc brakes all round, anti-lock braking system (ABS), acceleration skid control (ASR) and a constant operating pressure of 10 bar.
The ventilated brakes help prevent overheating – even if the brakes are used in quick succession (i.e. emergency braking), there is no fade or delayed response.
Brake Assist: for faster, more powerful braking.
The integral brake assist function detects hazardous situations and responds immediately, making maximum braking power instantly available to the driver.
PTO variants: engine power to suit every need.
- Transmission-dependent PTOs: Gearbox-dependent and shiftable, a low-cost variant for driving a hydraulic pump without an additional propshaft. The PTO can be operated when the vehicle is stationary.
- Rear engine PTOs: Powerful PTO, driven by the timing gears of the camshaft. It is used for equipment which must be operated also when on the move.
- Front engine PTOs: Front engine PTOs: The front engine PTO is non-shiftable, i.e. it turns as soon as the engine runs. Power transmission is via a belt pulley which is mounted additionally on the crankshaft and drives the accessory by means of a poly-V belt.
PSM interface: connectivity for greater efficiency.
The programmable special module (PSM) is an interface that allows direct exchange of information between the vehicle electronics and the attachments or body, and also enables external control of the vehicle.
